My name is Nicola Pinder and I am undertaking a PhD in Applied Psychology at the Salomons Institute within Canterbury Christ Church University. I am seeking dual trained accredited therapists to interview to gain a better understanding of their experience of working with sexual presentations, incorporating EMDR therapy into their practice. 

 

The interviews will be carried out on zoom and not exceed an hour in duration.

 

 A trauma-informed approach to working with sexual presentations seems rather different to a standard psychosexual approach and I am seeking to explore those differences. The outcomes of this study could be helpful within the field of Psychosexual Therapy, to provide practitioners with a better understanding of this combination of dual training. I have received full ethical approval from the university to carry out this study.
