Can you help us to recruit adult participants for a new research study?

UWE Bristol are looking for ~45 adults with complex trauma to complete 10 sessions of online EMDR with one of our experienced research therapists. This is a feasibility pilot study, looking to test a research design for a full-scale randomised controlled trial. Participants will receive 10 sessions of EMDR at a low cost (£65) per session. This study will add to the currently limited evidence base of the effectiveness of online EMDR.

Are you an adult, experiencing difficulties in your life due to complex or traumatic memories from your childhood? You might be interested in taking part in this research.

UWE Bristol are running a new research study looking to test a study design with a small group of people. The study aims to assess the effectiveness of online Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. EMDR is a comprehensive, safe and effective psychotherapy designed to help clients process and recover from past traumatic experiences.

Those taking part in the study will have access to 10, weekly 1-hour sessions of online EMDR with a trained therapist at a lower cost than the usual market value. As part of the research, UWE will track your experience through questionnaires (taking around 10 minutes) before each of your sessions, designed to assess symptoms of low mood and post-traumatic stress. We will also ask you some questions at the end of the trial, to get your feedback on the study design.
